Conference paper on DDC

A paper written by Elma Durmisevic, Annie Guerriero, Calin Boje, Bruno Domange and Guido Bosch on Digital DeConstruction has been presented at the CIB W78 conference in Luxembourgh.

The 38th CIB W78 conference on Information and Communication Technologies for the construction sector aimed to bring together an international community of researchers and industrials interested in Construction Informatics, BIM, Digital Twin and Knowledge Management. The scope of the conference was primarily related to the integration and communication of data, information and knowledge in the life cycle of a facility.


The event, which took place over a full week in the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg, comprised keynote speeches from recognized scientific and industry speakers, parallel scientific sessions of CIB-W78 & LDAC presentations of scientific papers and industry sessions addressing the hot topics faced by the AECO industry companies.

The conference also hosted workshops organized by EU-funded projects consortia in close collaboration with the European Construction Technology Association (ECTP) objectives and roadmap.


The Joint Conference CIB W78 - LDAC 2021 took place in Luxembourg between 11-15 October 2021 and was associated with the International Council for Research and Innovation in Building and Construction (CIB), its Working Commission W78 on Information Technology for Construction and the Linked Data in Architecture and Construction research community. This event is organized by the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) in collaboration with Cardiff University (UK) and the European Construction Technology Platform (ECTP).

Digital Deconstruction (DDC) is an innovative Interreg North West Europe (NWE) project to develop smart digital services that enable circular construction.
