EU Parliament approves climate legislation: by 2030, the European Union will emit 55 percent less greenhouse gases than it did in 1990.

The deal makes the EU’s climate, energy, land use, transport and taxation policies fit for reducing net greenhouse gas emissions. For the construction sector, this means more insulation, more heat pumps and less use of materials.
