GTB Lab Module

component/system

Multifunctional reversible module

GTB Lab Module
0.8

3 transformations of GTB Lab without waste. The façade with door transforms into a terraced module, which in GTB Lab transforms into a light intermediate module.

Test of transformations: floor becomes roof, which becomes facade, which becomes terrace and again becomes facade with door, etc.

Summary

GTB Lab Circular Module project has been developed as a EU Horizon 2020 BAMB pilot with full reversibility in mind aiming at high reuse potential of all building parts.

Details

GTB Lab Circular Module project has been developed as a EU Horizon 2020 BAMB pilot with full reversibility in mind aiming at high reuse potential of all building parts. ","4 reversibility scenarios have been investigated and applied.
1. Reversibility at module level, including replicability of façade, roof, floor, e.g. using the façade cassettes to create a floor/terrace that has taken place during the modules, and extensibility of the module transformation.
2. Reversibility at component level, including reconfiguration of the floor, roof or facade cassette by transforming the door into a window or shelf.
3. Coordination of design and production dimensions to eliminate 98% of production waste.
4. 3D module replicability/transportation and module expandability.
